One of our recent clock installations took us to Alberta, Canada (between Edmonton and Calgary) and despite nature’s best efforts, this Canadian clock installation was a timely success!
Custom Canister Clocks for Burman U.!
It may be cold outside, but time makes no exceptions for temperatures. Lacombe, in Alberta, Canada was the site of a recent installation of three 60” (five feet or 1.524 meter) diameter canister tower clocks featuring welded aluminum frames.
An independent university with the motto, “Think. Believe. Act.”, Burman University traces its roots back to 1907. Burman University is about 30 minutes from Red Deer and 90 minutes from Calgary, Canada. Gracefully sitting atop a hill near Barnett Lake, the Northern lights can be observed from its beautiful campus which offers a school of education and business along with other programs in the arts and sciences. Burman University is a relatively new name for the university, otherwise known as Canadian University College up until 2014.
Cold Weather Clocks
Extreme weather was a key consideration in the design, materials, and installation of the three new custom canister clocks. Our team at Americlock fabricated custom trim rings to help meld the clocks with their surrounding substrate. Semi-recessed into the surrounding wall, these clocks are illuminated with LED lighting that can be used in extremely cold weather without discoloration or fading. Thanks to their white poly-carbonate construction, the large clock faces can withstand significant temperature dips without the risk of cracking or yellowing.
With 8” of snow and sub-freezing temperatures, these beautiful custom canister tower clocks were installed in Lacombe in just a single day!
