From our base in North America, Americlock installs time pieces around the world, including regions that have unique climates. A recent project took our team to Abu Dhabi for a unique floral clock installation.
An expedited fabrication and installation scheduled kept this project moving quickly and following an overnight flight, Americlock’s experts got to work. Designing, building, and installing a large floral clock on this scale is no easy task!
The 4 meter in diameter or approximately 13-foot-wide clock (that’s right, folks this was a large one) was commissioned by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi. Featuring a 250-pound custom motor built to client specification, its massive presence is now a focal point and a community landmark.
Featuring formed poly-carbonate covers for numbers, the numbers are extremely strong and built to withstand the region’s extreme heat conditions as well as sand storms. Equally impressive, the illuminated RGB LED lights embedded in the hands and numbers enable the selection of colors on demand. These can be set to create a mood or accent the surrounding environment.
